Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a people-first Software Engineering Manager to lead embedded software teams for UAV flight control, data processing, and mission planning. You will drive architecture, safety validation, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, systems, and flight operations teams.

The role focuses on lifecycle development, HITL testing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to deliver reliable, scalable UAV software solutions for next‑gen flight systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing software engineering team developing embedded software for UAV flight control, communications, mission planning, and data processing.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for embedded software systems.
• Coordinate with product and program managers to define project scope, allocate resources, and manage schedules.
