Job summary

Pixels on Target LLC, based in Sunrise, FL, seeks a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead architecture, driver development, and camera/video integration for high-performance thermal optic products. This on-site role blends hands-on engineering (≈70%) with technical leadership (≈30%), focusing on power-efficient, low-latency systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software development in real-time systems.
• Strong experience with Linux Video4Linux2 (V4L2) and custom driver development.
• Proven expertise in embedded software architecture and modular design.
• Hands-on device driver development, kernel-level programming, and hardware interfacing.
• Deep knowledge of ISP pipelines, camera integration, and image quality troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with multimedia frameworks (GStreamer) for camera/video processing.
• Expertise in Embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot) and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python; ARM and x86 assembly.
• Board bring-up, bootloaders, BSP development, and Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth integration.
• Hardware debugging with oscilloscopes, JTAG, etc.
• Low-power design techniques and secure boot/OTA updates.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
