Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead a team delivering embedded software for medical devices focused on breast and skeletal health. The role requires deep technical leadership, strong C/C++, RTOS expertise, and collaboration with management to improve processes.

The candidate will work on-site in Newark, Delaware or Marlborough, Massachusetts, with a flexible 3-4 day on-site/remote work arrangement and a focus on high-quality, compliant software development.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in building effective engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and documentation of software components for new products.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to maximize value.
• Drive Agile/Scrum practices and CI processes across the team.
• Oversee testing strategies and risk assessments for safety-critical devices.
• Ensure on-time delivery and maintain system level documentation.
