Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C/C++ for medical devices.

You will take algorithms from concept through prototyping, verification on embedded targets, and collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to meet user needs. You will mentor junior engineers, drive module completion, and explore new technologies to enhance software quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of proven experience in software development using C & C++.
• Experience with embedded DSP, control and sensor fusion domains.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with real-time OS and embedded processors.
• Experience with unit testing tools (GoogleTest/Parasoft/JUnit).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality Embedded software applications using C and C++.
• Design, develop, and validate algorithms for signal processing, real-time control, and sensor fusion and tracking.
• Prototype and evaluate algorithms in MATLAB or Python and port to production C/C++.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet user needs and drive project goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive software quality and performance.
