Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in Bloomington, Minnesota, United States seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead embedded firmware and mobile/desktop app development, guiding projects from concept to production.

You will mentor Engineers I–III, define milestones, and ensure design concepts translate into reliable, scalable solutions. Strong leadership, clear communication, and proficient English are required; a four‑day work week is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
8 years of embedded firmware and mobile/desktop app development experience.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively in presentations.
Knowledge of lean principles.
Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
Experience with full product software life cycle.
Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead engineers on design of tools and machines and act as project lead.
Mentor Engineers I–III on projects.
Own project goals and establish milestones for progress.
Provide technical leadership bringing design concepts to production solutions.
Design test plans and perform testing.
Develop product specifications and production documentation.
Handle interviews, onboarding, time approvals, and performance reviews for direct reports.
