Actalent is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer in Greenville, WI to design and develop embedded Linux software for connected vehicle systems. You will lead a team of embedded engineers, set architectural direction, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.

Expect hands-on testing with real hardware and close collaboration with cloud and front-end teams. The role requires 8+ years in embedded software, strong C++ and networking knowledge, and a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in embedded software for complex mobile systems.
• Bachelor-level degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and embedded Linux.
• Experience with networking in connected vehicle/telematics contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded Linux software for connected vehicle systems.
• Lead a team of embedded engineers, providing architectural direction and best practices.
• Mentor and review designs and code to ensure high-quality engineering.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable within the product architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, front-end) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Drive Agile delivery and remove technical roadblocks.
