Job summary

Geotab is seeking a Lead Embedded Developer to own architecture for complex embedded systems, steering firmware from requirements to production and providing technical mentorship. You will lead projects, refine roadmaps, and ensure high-throughput delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in C/POSIX, RTOS, and embedded Linux, with a track record of scalable software development and strong collaboration within an agile team.

Qualifications

Familiar with embedded firmware architecture and design principles.
Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux environments.
Proficient in C/POSIX and object-oriented design for complex systems.
Demonstrated debugging skills on hard-to-reproduce embedded issues.

Responsibilities

Own technical initiatives and define architecture for complex embedded systems.
Architect and validate firmware from requirements to production.
Lead technical projects and provide mentorship to the team.
Define unit/integration/test frameworks to enable test-driven development.
Contribute to roadmaps and guide execution with data-driven insights.
