Job summary

Starpath is building a rover to explore the Lunar South Pole, and we seek a Senior Flight Software Engineer to own the Embedded Linux platform on the NVIDIA Orin-based Autonomy Computer. This role requires deep experience with the Linux kernel, device trees, and boot chains for ARM platforms, plus strong C skills.

As the Linux platform owner, you will work closely with robotics, autonomy, teleoperation, and hardware teams to enable rapid development of autonomy capabilities while ensuring

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with the Linux kernel and boot chain.
• Experience authoring and debugging device trees and pin muxing for embedded ARM platforms.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet device drivers and serial interfaces.
• 5+ years of embedded Linux experience at kernel/driver/BSP level.
• 5+ years programming in C.

Responsibilities

• Own the rover's Linux platform layer — kernel, drivers, BSP, and boot chain.
• Own and extend the BSP including device tree and pin muxing.
• Own interface software for CAN, RS-485, USB, CSI, and Ethernet devices.
• Own the OTA software update system.
• Design fault detection, identification, and recovery systems.
• Collaborate with robotics, autonomy, teleoperation, and hardware teams on software development.
