Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced Embedded Lead Engineer to lead embedded Linux projects and optimize ARM-based platforms. The role emphasizes Yocto build systems, microservices integration, and system performance improvements.

Ideal candidates have hands-on embedded software development experience, familiarity with C#, ASP.NET Core, ZeroMQ, ActiveMQ, and PostgreSQL, and are comfortable navigating regulated environments and cross-functional Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years hands-on embedded software development experience
• Strong experience with Yocto Linux build systems
• Hands-on experience with ARM-based embedded platforms such as NXP i.MX6
• Working knowledge of Embedded Linux, systemd, hardware watchdogs, and Linux OS optimization
• Familiarity with ASP.NET Core microservices and C#
• Experience with lightweight IPC frameworks such as ZeroMQ or D‑Bus
• Knowledge of ActiveMQ and PostgreSQL
• Experience with code reviews, technical documentation, risk management, and Agile development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions using Embedded Linux, C#, ZeroMQ, ActiveMQ, and PostgreSQL
• Work with Yocto Linux build systems and ARM-based embedded platforms
• Manage Linux services using systemd and implement hardware watchdog integration
• Design communication strategies between microservices, legacy applications, and embedded systems using messaging frameworks
• Optimize database performance, messaging systems, and application reliability
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and incident analysis to improve operations
• Conduct code reviews, risk assessments, and maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance on Yocto-based Linux platforms and embedded software development best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to assess feasibility and improve solution quality
