Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• 4 years of experience developing embedded software using Embedded C.
• 4 years of experience developing tools and test scripts with Python.
• 4 years of experience building systems using Make or Bazel.
• 4 years of experience using a debugger to diagnose and correct issues in target hardware and host environments.
• 3 years of experience developing software requirements in Jama.
• 3 years of experience developing sprint plans in Jira.
• 3 years of experience developing custom Python tools to generate embedded C code.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers delivering embedded automotive software.
• Design and lead development process producing high-quality, high-reliability end products with complete test coverage and high traceability.
• Manage product and task priorities, delivery schedules, and sprint planning.
• Design abstractions and APIs for core platform services including diagnostics, messaging, and logging.
• Develop portable and extensible firmware according to best practices and MISRA-C.
• Identify build-versus-buy tradeoffs for development tooling and integration.
• Verify and profile system behavior through unit testing and other validation methods.
• Document deliverables with structural and behavioral requirements documentation.
