The position emphasizes dignity, accuracy, and safety in all procedures, with cross-training to support overall Care Center operations and ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Licensed embalmer or eligible for licensure as required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; mortuary science education preferred.
• Ability to perform embalming with high standards of care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming procedures in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
• Prepare decedents for viewing, burial, or cremation.
• Apply restorative art, cosmetics, and dressing for presentation.
• Ensure preparation work reflects dignity, care and professionalism.
• Perform specialized procedures for infectious cases, trauma, or out-of-state transport.
• Maintain accurate embalming reports and documentation.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and chemical handling protocols.
• Verify identification of decedents prior to preparation procedures.
• Maintain records of personal effects and preparation details.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitization of preparation areas and equipment.
