Job summary

The Warrensburg R-VI School District at Maple Grove Elementary School seeks a Library Media Specialist to lead the library media program and support teaching and learning with print and digital resources.

The successful candidate will plan budgets, supervise library staff and volunteers, collaborate with teachers, and promote information literacy and responsible use of technology across the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in library media from an accredited institution.
• Missouri school library media specialist certificate for assigned grade levels.
• Master’s degree in library media preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan for the print and media-dependent components of a technologically-rich library media program.
• Assist in the supervision of the media center staff, student staff, and volunteers.
• Manage and administer the library media center and assist in the instructional process.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to design, implement, and evaluate instruction units.

Education

Bachelor's degree in library media

Master's degree in library media (preferred)

Missouri school library media specialist certification
