Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in library media from an accredited institution; Master's degree in library media preferred.
• Missouri school library media specialist certification for assigned grade levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan for the print and media-dependent components of a technologically-rich library media program and supervise the media center staff and volunteers.
• Manage and administer the media center and assist in the instructional process.
• Develop interpersonal relationships and assume professional responsibility in the library media program.
• Coordinate daily operation of the building library media center.
• Participate in curriculum planning and collaborate with teachers to design and evaluate instruction units.
• Promote reading and information literacy through staff and student guidance.

Education
