Job summary

EXPANSIA in Hollywood, MD is seeking a Lead Electronics Technician to support the defense technology platform and its growing team. The role centers on delivering cable and harness fabrication, electrical cabinet assembly, and power distribution units for military applications.

You will apply your experience with drawings and schematics, perform hand soldering where needed, and ensure quality compliance. A Secret clearance is preferred and requires strong related experience.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum of directly related experience in electrical cable and harness fabrication for Military applications
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience using multimeters, crimp tools, power tools, wire strippers, and field practices
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and visual aids
• Must pass color blindness test
• J-STD-001 (CIS) and IPC WHMA-A-620 (CIS) certifications
• Efficient hand soldering of wires and circuit boards; testing cables and troubleshooting
• Quality assurance to check compliance with engineering documentation

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance (Active clearance preferred)
Experience and Education: 8 years minimum ofdirectly relatedexperience of electrical cable and harness fabrication on Military applications.Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience using multimeters, crimp tools, power tools, wirestripersand field related practices.


• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and visual aids.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Electronics/Electrical Engineering Degree (Associates).


• Electronics/Electrical Technician Certificate (Accredited Institution / Military).


• Experience Working with Military Aircrafts.


• Military Experience (US Army, USMC, NAVY, National Guard, Coast Guard, or Air Force).


• Active Government Security clearance.


• Experience with Excel spread sheets.


• Experience using wire laser marking machines.


• Electrical estimating for bidding on jobs.

$34.38 - $44.43 an hour

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
