Job summary

IET Labs in West Roxbury, MA, is seeking an Electronic Test Technician to join its engineering/production group. The role focuses on assembling, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic instruments and test equipment in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities include handling diverse instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meters, megohmmeters) and following strict calibration procedures. Proficiency with schematics and soldering is essential for quality fabrication and testing.

Qualifications

• Must have electronic testing and troubleshooting experience down to component level using schematics and bench instruments.
• Experience with test instruments including handheld multimeters, oscilloscopes, resistance/inductance/capacitance standards.
• Calibrating test equipment experience.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and follow schematics, assembly and calibration procedures.
• Good soldering and electronic assembly workmanship.
• Familiarity with GenRad and esi test instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, troubleshoot, test, adjust and calibrate electronic instruments and test equipment.
• Work with items such as milliohmmeters, megohmmeters, LCR meters and stroboscopes.
• Interpret schematics and follow calibration procedures precisely.
• Maintain and document test results and instrumentation performance.
