City of Dallas seeks a Senior Electronic Technician to lead installation, repair, programming, and maintenance of electronic equipment across City facilities and utilities. You will guide a team of technicians, ensuring compliant, reliable operation of traffic signals, water systems, and other critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of hands-on electronics experience in municipal settings, with strong diagnostic and supervisory skills.

Formación

• Five (5) years of electronics repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a municipal environment.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license; CDL may be required in some divisions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coordinate and assist junior technicians in preventive and repair maintenance.
• Train and review assignments on troubleshooting techniques and major projects.
• Evaluate performance and reliability of electronic equipment; diagnose malfunctions and coordinate service requests.
• Design and oversee construction of diagrams and process changes for equipment control.
• Test components, circuits and pumps; diagnose issues and perform alignments.
• Draft operating docs, schedule daily work, and manage shop logs; approve timesheets.
• Operate city vehicles and transport tools/materials for installs/repairs.
• Track inventory and coordinate with vendors for parts and data sheets.
• Handle additional tasks as needed.
