Qualifications

• Five years of experience in electronics repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance in municipal environments.
• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver’s license (CDL may be required for some divisions).
• Education must align with electrical/electronic technology; vocational/associates accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians in installation, operation, repair, programming and maintenance of electronic equipment.
• Train and supervise junior technicians on troubleshooting and installation tasks.
• Evaluate equipment performance and diagnose malfunctions with testing methods.
• Oversee design, construction and fabrication related to process controls and equipment changes.
• Test components and systems to diagnose faults and ensure proper operation of pumps, motors and controls.
• Draft and maintain operation documentation and reporting; manage work orders and timesheets.
• Operate city vehicles and move tools/materials as needed for repairs.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with vendors for parts and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
