Job summary

MidPoint Technology Group seeks a Lead Security Technician to install, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic security systems at customer sites. You will lead installation efforts, guide technicians, program devices, and interpret drawings under the direction of the Project Manager.

The role requires 4–10 years’ hands-on experience with security systems, IT networking, low-voltage knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years’ experience installing security, video surveillance, access control, and/or intrusion systems.
• IT networking experience required.
• Low voltage electrical systems knowledge required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills needed.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Must adhere to OSHA Safety Standards.
• Must adhere to company rules and policies.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work extended/on-call hours as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation efforts on project sites.
• Direct installation technicians on proper installation techniques.
• Install security devices and cabling at customer sites.
• Program electronic security devices.
• Troubleshoot complex integrated security systems.
• Read and understand scopes of work and drawings.
• Attend manufacture training classes to increase skills.
