Job summary

Hamilton County Department of Education seeks a leadership professional to oversee the Electronic Communications teams, directing complex installations, system integrations, and security implementations across district facilities.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, planning priorities, and ensuring reliable operation of analog/digital audio, video, access control, CCTV, and related systems. A valid license and technical background are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience with computer hardware, electronic maintenance, or audio/visual systems.
• 2 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Vocational/technical training in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work of the Electronic Communications Teams and provides input into performance evaluations, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to standards.
• Determines work priorities for assigned teams.
• Trains team leaders and/or individuals on how to accomplish complex tasks.
• Plans, assigns, and monitors work activities, providing guidance and conducting quality inspections as needed.
• Installs, diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electronics in assigned area to ensure equipment is working within established parameters.
• Inspects and maintains equipment for optimal performance.
• Maintains building/video systems and security systems to ensure compliance and safety.
• Provides technical support and updates system databases and user accounts.
