Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide shift-level leadership for electromechanical maintenance in the facility, working alongside technicians to ensure safe, reliable operation and production support. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily coordination and assignments.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production/plant maintenance setting.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with heavy commercial equipment (mills, crushers, conveyors, etc.).
• Proficient in safety protocols (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space).
• Proficient in CMMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electromechanical maintenance technicians.
• Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion.
• Offer technical guidance and coaching to maintenance staff.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans with planners to minimize downtime.
• Audit routine inspections and address issues proactively.
• Coordinate repair and replacement of electromechanical components as needed.
• Diagnose complex electromechanical issues and implement solutions.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams to assess and execute projects.
• Ensure emergency repairs are carried out promptly to minimize production disruptions.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
