RANDALLConstruction's Electrical Division is seeking experienced, driven, andsafety-focused Lead Electricians to join our growing team on projectsthroughout Orlando and Central Florida . The ideal candidate is a skilledcommercial electrical professional with proven field leadership experience, astrong commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to effectively leadcrews while maintaining project schedules and customer satisfaction.
Position Summary
The LeadElectrician is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing dailyelectrical installation activities in the field while actively performingelectrical work. This individual serves as a working leader who providesdirection to Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices, ensures adherence toproject schedules, maintains high-quality workmanship, and promotes a cultureof safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Essential Functions
- Leadand coordinate daily activities of electrical crews on commercial constructionprojects.
- Planwork assignments and ensure labor, materials, tools, and equipment are utilizedefficiently.
- Install,maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems in accordance with theNational Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and project specifications.
- Readand interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, electrical schematics,specifications, and construction documents.
- Installconduit systems including EMT, Rigid, PVC, MC Cable, and associated racewaysystems.
- Install,terminate, and troubleshoot electrical equipment including switchgear, panels,transformers, lighting systems, controls, and power distribution equipment.
- Performelectrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
- Coordinatework activities with Project Managers, Foremen, Superintendents, inspectors,vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Monitorproject progress and proactively identify scheduling conflicts, materialshortages, or field issues.
- Ensureall installations meet RANDALL quality standards and project specifications.
- Mentorand train Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices on proper installationtechniques, productivity expectations, and safe work practices.
- Conductdaily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Utilizecompany technology to document field progress, complete reports, trackproductivity, and communicate project updates.
- Maintainclean, organized, and safe job sites.
- RepresentRANDALL professionally with customers, inspectors, owners, contractors, andteam members.
- Promotea positive team culture focused on excellence, accountability, and continuousimprovement.
Desired Qualification Requirements and Attributes
- JourneymanElectrician License (where required) or equivalent verifiable experience.
- Minimumof 7+ years of commercial electrical experience , including demonstratedleadership or crew supervision experience.
- Provenability to lead field personnel, coordinate workflow, and maintain projectproductivity.
- Thoroughknowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local buildingcodes.
- Strongunderstanding of commercial electrical construction methods, means, and bestpractices.
- Abilityto read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, one-linediagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Experiencecoordinating manpower, scheduling work activities, and managing fieldproductivity.
- Proficientwith tablets, smartphones, and construction management software for reporting,documentation, and communication.
- Strongtroubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
- Abilityto effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced constructionenvironment.
- V al iddriver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Abilityto pass all required pre-employment screenings, including background check anddrug screening.
- OSHA30 Certification preferred.
- CPR/FirstAid Certification preferred.
- Experienceworking on healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, industrial,aviation, or large commercial construction projects.
- Experienceoperating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment.
- Demonstratedability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strongorganizational, leadership, and time-management skills.
