Job summary

C&B Electric in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Lead Electrician to command day-to-day electrical work on premier residential projects. You will supervise apprentices, review blueprints, coordinate with general contractors, and ensure timely, code-compliant installations.

You will work with 200A–400A+ services, install smart home systems, and mentor crew members while maintaining safety and quality at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of relevant electrical experience.
Active and valid Wireman’s License in good standing.
Residential electrical construction experience, including high-end homes.
Ability to lead a crew, delegate work, organize daily workflow, and maintain jobsite productivity.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, architectural plans, wiring schematics, and job specifications.
Knowledge of residential load calculations, service entrances, panelboards, branch circuits, and residential electrical systems.
Strong working knowledge of NEC, local codes, and inspection processes.
Experience with high-end fixtures, recessed lighting, dimming systems, and home controls.
Strong troubleshooting and testing skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Commitment to safe, organized, and high-quality electrical work.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day electrical work on the jobsite while supervising apprentices and supporting electricians.
Review blueprints, plans, wiring schematics, and project requirements.
Plan daily workflow, delegate tasks, and keep projects on schedule and within labor expectations.
Coordinate rough-in, trim-out, service installations, and project timing with general contractors and other trades.
Perform and oversee rough-ins, panel wiring, and high-end fixture installations.
Work with 200A to 400A+ residential services and service upgrades.
Wire smart home systems and lighting controls; lead safety and code compliance checks.
Inspect work by apprentices; train staff on installation methods and tool use.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite; communicate with builders and homeowners.
