We are a W/MBE and DBE certified electrical contracting corporation experienced in commercial, industrial, residential, and government work. Erwin Electric, Inc is currently seeking Commercial Lead Electricians to join our growing team in the Tampa Bay Area.
As the Lead Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of electricians to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standard, on time, and within budget. Total compensation for Commercial Lead Electrician is based on experience and/or licensing. Candidates with exceptional experience and a successful history of performance will receive top pay.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe workplace & provide a high level of professionalism
- Manage electricians and other staff, on all types and sizes of projects
- Monitor, direct, motivate, and improve the quantity/quality of work performed by the crew as necessary
- Communicate Erwin Electric, Inc.’s policies and procedures to your work crews
- Install electrical equipment, conductors, lighting, devices, and any other associated material to meet all requirements of the customer’s scope of work, plans, and specs
- Perform Testing, Upgrades, and Repairs to electrical systems and equipment
- Ensure that installations are completed in a neat and workmanlike manner and adhere to OSHA, NEC, and other Florida Building code requirements
- Maintain company-provided tools and manage job site inventory levels
- Maintains records of work performed; submits reports as required
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by a vocational/technical certification in electrical work and/or five (5) years of experience at the journeyman level
- Minimum 5 years in the electrical trade with a focus on commercial installations
- Minimum 2 years experience in lead/supervisory position
- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
- Clean criminal background check and able to pass a drug test
- Professional Appearance and strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hands to hold, feel, or reach electrical components
- Stand, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time
- Adequate close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50 lbs
