Job summary

In Charge Electric is expanding its base power and generator operations in the Houston area and is hiring a skilled Service Electrician to support residential electrical service and generator installations. This role works on a dedicated base service line and will assist with repairs, upgrades, generator installations, and related service needs.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Residential Wireman license required.
• Texas Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
• 2–5 years of residential electrical installation or service experience.
• Generator installation/troubleshooting/maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with residential electrical panels, service upgrades, transfer switches and related equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment background checks including criminal, driving, and drug screenings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential electrical issues.
• Complete residential electrical service upgrades and installations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service residential standby generators and related equipment.
• Install and service transfer switches and associated electrical components.
• Recommend safety, reliability, and electrical system improvements.
• Explain repair and installation options clearly to homeowners.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate job progress to management.
• Follow electrical codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide professional and respectful customer service while working in customers' homes.
