Job summary

Base is scaling the future of energy in Houston, TX, and we’re hiring a Journeyman Electrician who thrives in the field. You will be on-site daily—pulling wire, opening panels, troubleshooting real problems, and setting the standard through action.

You are the technical backbone of our Houston, TX battery fleet. While you’ll guide others, your primary value comes from doing the work yourself and doing it right.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical work, specifically with battery backups, EV chargers, or whole-home generators.
• Valid Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to crews and inspectors.
• On-site field diagnostics and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and battery system failures in the field.
• Ensure installs pass inspection and meet quality benchmarks.
• Represent Base with inspectors and AHJs in the field.
• Onboard and train new installation crews.
• Maintain mastery of Base hardware and NEC codes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for night/weekend issues.
