Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Graduate Engineer to lead testing and field service on electrical power distribution systems in the Cedar Rapids area. You will troubleshoot, test, inspect, and supervise project activities while preparing detailed reports.

The role requires NEC standards knowledge, effective client and peer communication, and willingness to travel up to several weeks. Strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with BSEE or BSME or equivalent, or military electrical training with 3 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and industry standards; able to work with switchgear to 15 kV.
• Proven ability to supervise projects and communicate with clients and peers.
• Willing to travel up to several weeks domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, and inspect electrical power distribution systems.
• Lead project activities and prepare detailed reports and invoices.
• Perform complex analyses for labeling projects in compliance with standards.
• Support business development with proposals and scope/pricing development.
