Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Principal Electrical Systems Architect, Medical Devices, to lead the electrical system architecture across all product development phases, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust design. The role involves technical leadership, risk assessment, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in Class II/III medical devices, expertise in power architecture and EMC, and a willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or other related technical area required, Master’s degree or above preferred
• 15+ years developing Class II/III medical devices
• Willing to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Leading the electrical system architecture across all phases of product development, from concept and requirements definition through design, verification, validation, commercialization, and post-market support.
• Driving technical decision-making and architectural trade studies, assessing impact of design changes on performance, risk, regulatory compliance, and timelines.
• Applying advanced engineering principles, modeling, simulation, and analytical methods to solve complex multidisciplinary challenges.
• Mentoring electrical engineering teams and providing technical leadership across projects and development teams.
• Establishing and advancing best practices in system architecture, design methodologies, requirements management, verification strategies, and engineering tools.
• Leading technical collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners, while supporting project planning and risk management.
