Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Superintendent to coordinate and supervise electricians and crews on solar project sites. The role requires traveling across the U.S., with no remote or hybrid work, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

The candidate will partner with the Electrical Superintendent on material sizing, schedules, and 3-week look-ahead plans, while ensuring safety and quality on site and mentoring craft workers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years construction/supervision experience, working with medium and high voltage projects.
• Ability to travel up to 100% to remote locations (keep home base wherever you choose).
• Visa sponsorship not offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the solar site.
• Partner with the Electrical Superintendent in electrical material, equipment sizing, and site utilization plan.
• Develop project schedules and updates, and create 3 week look-ahead.
• Supervise and ensure quality control of work teams and subcontractors.
• Attend project meetings and liaise between field engineers and contractors to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Lead and mentor the electrical team and crafts.
