Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a Project Engineer in our Electrical Section to design electrical systems for highway, municipal, bridge, transit and airport projects.

You will produce design calculations, technical reports, and drawings, collaborating with project managers to meet schedules and budgets. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and other disciplines on complex, multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher is required.
• Master’s degree or PhD is preferred for advanced roles.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work; manage schedule and budget on projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work; mentor staff.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
