Job summary

Advantage Technical in Dallas, TX seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to provide strategic and technical leadership for the electrical engineering department, overseeing operations, mentoring engineers, and driving innovation across substations, switchgear, and power distribution.

You will manage budgets, ensure compliance with ANSI/IEEE/NEC standards, collaborate with mechanical, project management and manufacturing teams, and represent engineering in customer engagements to promote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Technical knowledge of protection & control systems, MV switchgear protection, and substation power systems.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, NEC standards and codes.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and complex projects.
• Strong electrical design principles and regulatory knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Budget management and strategic planning experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
