Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Oregon is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV to lead design and integration of advanced electrical systems for semiconductor wet processing equipment. You will own electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, safety circuits, and interfaces, partnering with mechanical, software, and process teams.

The role emphasizes EtherCAT-based automation, lab validation, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years; or equivalent experience.
Strong background in electrical system architecture, industrial controls, and power distribution.
Experience designing and releasing complex electrical systems from concept through production.
Hands-on experience with EtherCAT-based machine control systems and industrial automation.
Experience with electrical CAD and design tools such as OrCAD, Zuken, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and system integration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and integration of complex electrical systems for advanced semiconductor equipment.
Own electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, safety circuits, and subsystem interfaces.
Design and implement distributed automation systems utilizing EtherCAT networks and distributed I/O.
Drive system-level technical decisions balancing performance, reliability, and cost.
