Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Millersville, MD is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineering professional to guide complex electronics hardware development for seabed applications. You will lead digital and analog circuit design, subsystem integration, and system qualification, interfacing with customers and stakeholders to influence engineering practices.

EVMS and project leadership are required. The role involves 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, travel to customer sites, and security-cleared

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 9 years of prior relevant technical experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
• Experience in analog, power and FPGA design; EVMS and project management experience is required.
• Strong technical writing skills including test procedures, specifications and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Leads Electrical Engineering development efforts using EVMS as a Control Account Manager to meet cost and schedule goals.
• Architects, designs and integrates electronic circuit cards and subsystems for seabed hydrophone systems.
• Creates analog and digital circuit designs and layouts using industry tools.
• Analyzes electrical requirements for feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Provides input to program bids and bases of estimate.
• Performs qualification and testing of electrical hardware and systems; travel to customer sites as needed.
• Travels up to 30% for field support and installations.
• Identifies component characteristics impacting performance and sustainability.
