The Judge Group is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for a fully onsite role in Leesburg, VA. You will lead RF sensing and UAS detection system design, develop architectures, schematics and PCB layouts, and select robust components to meet performance and reliability goals.

You will collaborate with RF, FPGA, DSP and software teams, perform system validation with SDR platforms, troubleshoot, document designs, and drive hardware integration and field testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout and hardware integration.
• Experience using Altium Designer or comparable tools.
• Experience with RF systems and embedded control.
• Knowledge of LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB and MIPI interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting and system integration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead electrical design and development of RF sensing and UAS detection systems.
• Develop architectures, interfaces, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Select components based on performance and reliability.
• Support PCB layout, prototype fabrication, bring-up and verification.
• Design power distribution and embedded control subsystems.
• Use SDR platforms for RF signal acquisition and validation.
• Troubleshoot complex electronic and RF systems.
• Document designs with drawings, schematics and test procedures.
• Collaborate with RF, FPGA, DSP and software teams.
