Job summary

X4 Engineering seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the data center design team as a Lead electrical engineer. You will create designs, perform load and energy calculations, and guide equipment selections on diverse project sizes.

You will develop system narratives and layouts, establish design criteria, and oversee QA/QC to ensure quality. PE licensure and a strong background in Revit, AutoCAD MEP are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
• 9+ years of relevant MEP experience, data centers or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP and Revit; strong design and QA/QC involvement.
• Ability to lead and mentor in a senior-to-lead transition.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development and equipment selection for data center projects.
• Carry out load, energy, and pressure drop calculations.
• Prepare system narratives, layouts, and design criteria.
• Oversee QA/QC process for own work and others.
