Job summary

Gulf Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as Lead Electrical Engineer on smaller projects, overseeing all discipline technical and scheduling aspects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include developing one-line diagrams, area classifications, reviews of vendor documents, FAT coordination, and liaison with client personnel on electrical activities. A strong background in Oil & Gas and knowledge of industry standards required.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10 years of proven engineering experience in Oil and Gas.
• Familiar with natural gas industry standards and codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Engineer on smaller projects and oversee discipline technical and scheduling.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff as required.
• Prepare or review discipline project specifications.
• Prepare requisitions for inquiry in support of purchasing equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
• Coordinate with client personnel relative to electrical activities.
• Review vendor documents and participate in FAT coordination.
