Cyient Limited seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead motor controller hardware design in Irvine, CA. You will develop schematics, board layouts, and power electronics, validate performance, and mentor junior engineers while interfacing with embedded software teams.

Defense sector experience and strong documentation are highly valued. Responsibilities include hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on circuit and hardware design experience is mandatory.
• Experience in circuit analysis, validation and troubleshooting of complex electronics.
• Strong understanding of motor control, power stages, sensors and interfaces.
• Defense industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead hardware design and development for motor controllers and power electronics.
• Develop and review schematics and board-level designs for motor drive systems.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and design validation to meet specs.
• Own troubleshooting and root-cause analysis at board and system levels.
• Collaborate with embedded software teams for HW/SW integration.
• Support bring-up, testing, and debugging in lab and system environments.
• Lead reviews and mentor junior engineers across cross-functional teams.
• Ensure designs comply with defense, quality, and regulatory standards.
