Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Minerals & Metals team in the USA. You will lead the electrical engineering packages for complex mining and mineral processing projects, across greenfield and brownfield developments, ensuring compliance with codes and internal quality standards.

You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multiple disciplines and clients. Responsibilities include directing HV/LV distribution design, MCCs, substations, and lighting, plus reviewing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with leadership in mining/mineral processing or heavy industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer license in CO/AZ/NV/ID/SC with reciprocity options.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage development of electrical deliverables across concept to execution.
• Provide technical direction for HV/LV distribution, MCCs, substations, lighting, earthing, and communication systems.
• Coordinate with disciplines, procurement and construction for seamless project execution.
• Review electrical specs, single-line diagrams, cable sizing, load calculations, and procurement documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews and site inspections.
• Develop drawings and schedules for a wide range of clients using CAD tools.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and stamp deliverables for project sign-off.
