Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5–10 years in design/development at a medical device company.
• Experience with Medical Device design controls.
• Experience with embedded firmware in electronic medical equipment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO standards related to medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead in product development activities for electronic end-of-life activities.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems in current designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external resources to update existing designs while maintaining functionality.
• Liaise with external contractors and Operations teams for capabilities and product improvements.
• Work in a team environment and provide clear feedback to the supervisor and department.
• Deliver Voice of Business and project requirements with multifunctional teams.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Medical Device design controls and guide team members.
• Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Utilize DOE and SPC to solve straightforward problems.
• Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products.
• Help determine verification testing and other product tests to assure design.
