Job summary

twiceasnice Recruiting in Mount Carmel, IL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and commissioning of custom industrial machinery. You will develop 2D drawings, panel layouts, and BOMs from concept through start-up, collaborating with Mechanical and Controls teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on capital equipment experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and a detail-oriented, self-motivated mindset to drive safety and performance across multiple active projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in capital equipment or industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of electrical controls in industrial machinery.
• Ability to read ladder logic.
• Experience creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD.
• Ability to independently design complete electrical systems and panels from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D electrical drawings and schematics of industrial machinery.
• Develop electrical panel layouts and BOMs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Controls Engineers on design integration.
• Support customers, service, production, and sales with technical guidance.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support on the shop floor.
