Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Electrical Engineer for a hands-on role designing custom industrial equipment in St. Charles, IL.

You will own electrical design from customer requirements through production release, collaborating with mechanical, fabrication, and production teams. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of electrical design experience, proficiency in creating schematics and wiring diagrams, and hands-on experience with SolidWorks and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 2–4+ years of electrical design experience.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• SolidWorks/2D-3D CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design complete electrical control systems for custom industrial equipment.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and Bills of Materials.
• Select and size motors, VFDs, transformers, breakers, relays/contactors, sensors, switches, and safety components.
• Integrate electrical controls with hydraulic power units, motors, valves, limit switches, and operator controls.
• Customize and design electrical systems for multiple engineered-to-order projects simultaneously.
• Support the development of new products and improvements to existing equipment.
• Work with mechanical designs and utilize 2D/3D CAD and SolidWorks as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, machining, welding, and production teams to bring designs into reality.
• Research and learn new technologies and components when developing solutions for unique customer requirements.
