Job summary

Global Power Components, Milwaukee-based, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive development, launch, and execution of electrical equipment solutions. You will lead engineering efforts for product development, provide application engineering support, prototype leadership, and collaborate with manufacturing and customers on technical matters.

The role targets growth into technical leadership, with responsibilities spanning standards, documentation, and product literature.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
10+ years of experience in an Engineer-to-Order environment.
Experience with MCCs, switchgear, power distribution equipment or similar equipment.
Experience with BOM development, electrical drawings/one-lines, and manufacturing support.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop engineered electrical equipment solutions based on customer requirements.
Create electrical designs, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Support quotation and application engineering activities.
Lead prototype development and testing activities.
Work with manufacturing to support fabrication, assembly, and product launches.
Support product certification and compliance efforts.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners on technical matters.
Establish engineering standards, processes, and documentation practices.
Assist in developing product literature, technical content and training materials.
Help build and scale the engineering organization.
