Job summary

ECF Engineering Consultants in Florida is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and oversee electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency power.

The role requires 7–10 years of engineering experience, strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes, and proficiency with CADD and MS Office; Florida PE license is preferred. Travel for site surveys is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Electrical Professional Engineer license desired (State of Florida).
• 7–10 years of engineering experience on related projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 101 and NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, IBC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical construction documents including drawings, specs, and reports.
• Coordinate with clients and the design team to ensure a fully coordinated design.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform on-site design reviews to verify contractor methods.
