Job summary

STV Incorporated in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist with 7+ years of experience. A BSEE is required, with E.I.T. certification preferred and a path toward P.E.

license. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, plus energy/load calculation tools, will be highly valued. The role involves planning electrical systems for facilities projects, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting diverse projects from transit terminals to solar energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• E.I.T. certification; P.E. license preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, Energy Code (Title 24).
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the electrical lead in planning, including development of proposals and budgets, design and post-design of electrical systems for facilities projects.
• Provide design services to public agencies and private corporations.
• Work on current projects such as public transit terminals and municipal buildings including maintenance facilities.
• Contribute to light commercial projects and solar/distributed energy resource initiatives.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and support design in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support other electrical staff on projects as required.
