Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer specialist to design and integrate aircraft and ground systems. You will create wiring diagrams and panels using Capital Harness or NX, coordinate with multiple groups, and mentor a small team of engineers through project lifecycles.

Responsibilities include research, drafting, and ensuring cost-efficient, compliant designs. Travel to flight lines and aircraft hangars may be required; DoD clearance eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years; or 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Willingness to travel to flight lines and work in aircraft hangar environments; DoD clearance requirement eligibility.
• Knowledge of CAD/PLM tools and aerospace industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and review system wiring diagrams and panels using CAD tools (Capital Harness or NX).
• Research, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate design with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production.
• Lead a small team of 2–5 design engineers; provide status and budget estimates.
• Train and mentor junior engineers; ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Learn and apply L3Harris technical process specs and design methodologies.
