Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Electrical/Systems Engineer to lead pioneering electrical engineering projects in electric aircraft and eVTOL systems. Based in Torrance, CA or Tempe, AZ with a hybrid schedule, you will oversee design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems affecting flight performance.

Reporting to Engineering Program Manager, you will guide a team, manage budgets, ensure compliance with aerospace standards, and produce critical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or equivalent.
• Typically 15+ years working with circuit design integration and test experience.
• Experience with circuit design, simulation and fault isolation is expected.
• Familiarity with DO-178B/DO-160/DO-254 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for project success.
• Execute electrical circuit design team project tasks.
• Complete assignments applying electrical engineering methods.
• Generate BOMs for Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs).
• Utilize circuit design, simulation, and analysis for fault isolation.
• Prepare investigation/test results and document findings.
