Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer to provide technical leadership in design, programming, integration, and commissioning of advanced automation systems in manufacturing environments.

This hands-on leadership role involves ownership of complex projects from concept through customer support. You will mentor engineers, review controls architectures, and coordinate with mechanical, software, and project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in controls engineering, automation, and robotics.
Demonstrated ownership of automation projects and technical leadership.
Strong experience with PLC/HMI platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or GE.
Experience with machine vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, FANUC IRVision).

Responsibilities

Lead controls engineering for automation, robotics, and machine vision projects.
Provide technical guidance to controls engineers and technicians.
Review controls designs, programming, electrical documentation, and system architecture.
Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and project teams to develop integrated solutions.
Interface with customers to define technical requirements and communicate status.
Develop and troubleshoot complex electromechanical control systems.
Lead integration of vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, FANUC IRVision).
Ensure safety, quality, and project deliverables across lifecycle.
