Job summary

Seer Inc. in Redwood City seeks an Electrical Engineering Architect to lead the electrical design of a next-generation mass spectrometer for proteomics workflows. You will architect HV DC and RF systems, ensure signal integrity, and drive low-noise electronics in high-vacuum environments.

Reporting to the Director of Systems Integration, you will collaborate across teams to deliver precise ion beam control and instrument performance in LCMS applications.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in EE/related field required.
• 10+ years in academic or biotech labs with MS-focused experience.
• Experience architecting MS or similar instrumentation.
• Proven high-voltage DC and RF electronics designs.
• Strong signal integrity and low-noise analog expertise.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system layout for a next-gen TOF MS.
• Specify 15 kV DC power supply architecture for ion optics.
• Develop robust 1-2 MHz RF systems for ion guides and traps.
• Implement grounding, shielding, and isolation strategies.
• Minimize noise, ripple, and thermal drift in ion beams.
• Oversee HV electronics integration in high-vacuum systems.
