Student Choice High School - Tempe Campus is seeking a Lead ELA Teacher for High School to champion wrap-around supports and an alternative path to a diploma. The role partners with the Principal to lead instruction, monitor progress, and align with district expectations and state standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in alternative education, a commitment to underserved youth, and experience guiding teams to deliver high-quality ELA instruction under a district framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Arizona Teacher Certificate (Secondary 6-12 or equivalent).
• Passing Subject Knowledge Exam as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher for the assigned Student Success Team.
• Oversee PLC and progress toward diploma and college/career pathways.
• Teacher of Record for assigned courses and assess student progress.
• Promote district policies and state standards in instruction.
• Provide remediation and tier 2 instruction as needed.
• Maintain LMS dashboards and communicate with families.
