Job summary

Student Choice High School-Maricopa Campus is seeking a Lead Math Teacher at the high school level. The role focuses on supporting at-risk students through wrap-around services and an alternative diploma pathway.

The leader collaborates with the Principal and staff to drive student success and on-site program development. The position emphasizes meeting district standards, overseeing PLCs, and serving as the Teacher of Record for math courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must hold valid Arizona teacher certificate for secondary grades (6-12) or equivalent (STEM/CTE/Alt cert).
• Passing score on approved Subject Knowledge Exam (Math or ELA or area approved).
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teacher for the assigned Student Success Team.
• Support campus leadership and communicate with stakeholders.
• Oversee the Team’s PLC and monitor readiness for diploma and college/career pathways.
• Serve as Teacher of Record for assigned courses.
• Monitor and enforce Academic Policies and district procedures.
• Instructs classes and plans studies meeting district standards.
• Prepare lessons and maintain records as required.
• Guide learning toward district curriculum goals and state standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment and uphold discipline policies.
• Provide academic progress updates and engage in professional development.
• Support Learning Coach as secondary resource when needed.
