Job summary

The Wright Center in Scranton, PA is seeking a Lead Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support dentists during treatments, place sealants and restorations, oversee clinical resident staff, and assist the office manager.

The role requires EFDA certification, radiologic certification, and a minimum of 3 years EFDA experience, with strong emphasis on infection control, patient care, and staff training. This position leads the clinical team and coordinates with the office manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• EFDA state certification required; radiologic certification by PA State Board of Dentistry or DANB.
• Coronal polishing certification required as per State Board of Dentistry; DANB CDA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up trays and assist dentist during procedures.
• Take and record dental/medical histories and vital signs.
• Place and carve restorations; place sealants; assist with clinical emergencies.
• Oversee clinical staff and ensure clinic policies are followed; contribute to budget and training.
